Green Bay Packaging is a privately-held, fully integrated paper manufacturer founded in 1933 in Green Bay, WI. Green Bay Packaging employs over 3,400 employees across 35 divisions throughout US and Mexico, serving the corrugated container; folding carton; and coated label markets. Our Fremont Division is strategically located in Northwest Ohio to service businesses in the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana markets. We are an industry-leading, fully equipped corrugating plant that manufactures a wide range of corrugated packaging products.
Position specifics:
  • Part-time (mornings are ideal) from 8 AM - 12 Noon OR 12:30 - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
  • Student would work with our team of 5 designers
  • The ideal candidate is either a mechanical engineering student who has a minor in marketing or visual arts  OR a graphic design student who has an interest in structural work 
  Assist Designers with daily tasks including:
  •  Building samples / prototypes
  • Lifting / Moving of stock sheets and samples
  • Cleaning / Maintaining equipment
  • Testing new and existing items
  • Interacting with customers (delivering / picking up samples)
  • Basic CAD design / specifications
   
 Desired Skills / Goals:
  •  Understand concept thru manufacturing process
  • Understand different materials / properties
  • Understand tools / equipment
  • Complete a GBP design project on your own from start to finish (a portfolio / resume builder)
   
  • Must be 18 years old with 2 forms of  government issued ID
  • Must posses a driver's license in good standing
  • Must show proof of active enrollment at an accredited university

$10-14 hourly
