Customer Service Representative
Green Bay Packaging Inc. is a privately owned, diversified paper and packaging manufacturer. Founded in 1933, this Green Bay WI based company has over 3,400 employees and 32 manufacturing locations operating in 15 states that serve the corrugated container, folding carton and coated label markets. Our Lebanon, OH location is a modern, fully equipped corrugated manufacturing facility that produces a wide range of innovative corrugated products.
Responsible for maintaining customer accounts on a daily basis, from initial setup of items and follow up of orders through production & shipping. Also includes estimating, warehouse management, processing complaints and working closely with sales reps. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Implementation of new business from inception through entire process (design to shipping). 2. Provide excellent customer service through timely & accurate customer communications via telephone and email. 3. Manage multiple accounts with varying degrees of complexity. 4. Generate and accurately process production orders; implement changes and expediting. 5. Generate prices through estimating and quoting to customers. 6. Interact with Design on tooling: cutting dies, print plates and print cards. 7. Manage inventory levels based on established parameters and address aging stock. 8. Participate in daily production meetings 9. Handle customer complaints; initiate product returns and replacements. 10. Maintain records and files of customer’s products (online scanning) 11. Develop and maintain a respectful working relationship with customer contacts and internal departments.
Strong inter-personal and communications skills are required. Must be efficient and professional in pressurized situations and in dealing with customer demands. Position requires a great deal of independent work. Good telephone and grammar skills are a must, along with professional and managerial skills regarding approach to work, customers, sales, and co-workers. Accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness are critical for this position. Strong organizational skills are required. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education : High School diploma required. Associates Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience : At least 5 years of previous customer service, preferably in the corrugated industry. Must good grammar & spelling, and basic math skills. A good steady work history and excellent attendance is required. Working in industrial setting is preferred. Computer Skills: MS Office, MS Excel, data entry, keyboarding strongly preferred.
