Division description
Located in Germantown, WI, the Great Lakes Division specializes in the design and manufacturing of corrugated packaging and displays. To stay competitive, we emphasize continuous improvement in technology, efficiency, and design.
Job description
  • Set up production files for production.
  • Evaluate finished pieces for quality and accuracy.
  • Unitize finished product for safe shipping.
  • Be self-motivated and effective time management skills.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to Great Lakes Packaging’s quality policy to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.
  • Maintain good working relationship with design, sales, production, and customer service departments.
  • Follow up with Digital Operations Manager, production, and customer service departments using effective communication.
  • Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments.
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Great Lakes Packaging.
  • Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
  • Possess an enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach towards work and all work projects.
  • Possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience a plus but not required
  • Working knowledge of Mac OS X system a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of offset, digital and flexo printing a plus but not required
  • Graphics arts industry experience a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Caldera RIP software for large and grand-format Print and Print-to-Cut applications a plus but not required
  • Imaging and/or production experience preferred
  • Excellent math and analytical skills required
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective written and oral communications skills
  • Computer skills - Mac and PC based platforms
  • Software proficiency: Adobe Suite CC a plus but not required, Caldera software a plus but not required
  • General knowledge of digital and offset printing processes a plus but not required
  • This position will train on first shift and eventually move to third shift
