Division description
Green Bay Packaging, Green Bay Mill Division is a fully-integrated paper mill that manufactures containerboard using 100% recycled furnish.  The operation consists of one paper machine responsible for the production of linerboard and medium paper used to manufacture corrugated boxes.  This family-owned mill is located near the mouth of the Fox River in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Job description
  • Develop and lead a mill procurement team focused on operational efficiency, continuous improvement and bottom-line Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings.
  • Manage mill operational sourcing and storerooms.
  • Negotiate contracts; prepare and issue purchase orders.
  • Oversight for mill procurement transactions to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement supply management strategies to support mill strategic objectives.
  • Work across Divisions and with the Senior Manager of Procurement to develop and implement standard best practices to increase the value contribution from the procurement organization.
  • Manage key categories across Divisions applying category management and strategic sourcing principles.
  • Measure and manage supplier cost, quality, and performance; manage disputes; identify root cause of failures; and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor key market and business trends. Quantify opportunities and risks to the business.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of progressive procurement leadership in a process manufacturing environment. Experience with MRO, Services, and Indirect Categories is preferred.
  • Hands-on procurement leader with experience building and mentoring a procurement team.
  • Experience implementing best-practice processes and tools to optimize operational sourcing and storerooms.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven results in complex negotiations and contracts.
  • History of managing strategic supplier relationships and performance.
  • Ability to build and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, decisive, and accountable decision maker.
  • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Completes tasks with sense of urgency and meets deadlines.
  • Effective communicator, able to convey complex issues to drive efficient decision making.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data; advanced skills in Excel and Power BI preferred.
  • S. in supply chain management, business administration, or engineering. Continuing education, in supply management and business law is preferred.
  • CPSM, CPM, CSCP, CPP, CPPM, or equivalent certification is desirable.
