On March 11, 2021, Green Bay Packaging started operating its new PM4 production line. The facility located near the headquarters of the family-owned company in Green Bay, Wisconsin is a groundbreaking project in several respects. The testliner machine is the first new paper mill built in Wisconsin in over 30 years, creating numerous new jobs in the Lake Michigan region. Moreover, it is the first time in the history of the U.S. that a single company was awarded the contract to supply a complete production line for the paper industry: Voith.

Green Bay Packaging New Recycled Paper Mill Begins Production

Project WolfPack represents the largest project in Brown County history.

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is proud to announce that the first reel of paper was produced at its new paper mill in Green Bay, WI on March 11, 2021.  This significant milestone comes two and a half years after breaking ground. This success is the first step to reaching full production capacity.  The $500+ million investment has had a profound, positive impact on Northeast Wisconsin’s economy and the environment. The new mill is in Green Bay at the mouth of the Fox River south of the Leo Frigo Bridge.

Green Bay Packaging Plans to Increase Production with New Paper Mill

GREEN BAY – In a recent interview with Jeff Bollier of the Green Bay Press Gazette, Green Bay Packaging CEO Will Kress described the company’s plans to increase production with a brand new, state-of-the-art, paper mill in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The new mill is set to replace the original mill that was constructed in the 1940s.

New “Super Plant” Construction to Begin in Tulsa

Green Bay Packaging Inc. (GBP) announced they will begin construction of a new 550,000 sq. ft.
corrugator plant in Tulsa Oklahoma. Construction on the site is set to begin on September 1, 2020 and
start up operation is scheduled for October 2021.
The new “super plant” will be replacing GBP’s current 180,000 sq. ft corrugator plant in Tulsa. GBP has
operated a plant in Tulsa for over 50 years. The new plant will be equipped with a new 110” Fosber
corrugator and all new state of the art high speed flexo folder gluers and rotary die cutters.
“We are excited to continue to invest in our employees and customers of Oklahoma.” Said Will Kress,
President and CEO of GBP. “The Tulsa operation is an important part of GBP and the leadership and
employees of this division are second to none. We believe in investing in our people and our loyal
customers and we are looking forward to the next phase in Tulsa.”
The Tulsa announcement is another step in the continued growth and expansion of GBP. Over the last
24 months, GBP completed substantial expansions of their Green Bay Shipping Container and
Minneapolis Shipping Container plants. They have installed a new 110” BHS corrugator in Green Bay
and installed new high speed and high graphic lines in multiple plants across the country. GBP built and
started up a new 175,000 sq. ft sales, marketing and distribution center in Downers Grove Illinois earlier
this year. They also secured a minority ownership position of the leading digital printing company,
Company Box.
