Baltimore, Md. – The Green Bay Packaging Inc. Baltimore Division achieved membership to the Maryland Green Registry, for its continued efforts in environmental and sustainable stewardship.
Baltimore Division implemented environmental practices and provided quantitative results for “greening” the facility, which included a Lean and Green Team, reducing and recycling waste, using transportation alternatives, and energy use reduction.
In early 2012, the Baltimore Division joined the Regional Manufacturers Institute (RMI) Green Team, which focuses on local energy and carbon reductions. These “best practices” led to the energy-saving initiatives implemented, and saved Baltimore Division an estimated 134,000 kWh and 848 MMBtu of natural gas by August 2012.
